I didn't know I could earn a degree based on my years of work experience!
What is ETEEAP?
💡
A degree earned through what you already know
ETEEAP (Expanded Tertiary Education Equivalency and Accreditation Program) is a government-recognized program under RA 12124, signed March 3, 2025. It assesses your work experience, non-formal training, and prior learning — and converts them into equivalent college credits and a bachelor's degree, without requiring traditional full-time schooling.
🏛
PUP is an authorized ETEEAP institution
The Polytechnic University of the Philippines administers ETEEAP through its Institute of Non-Traditional Study Program (INE), under the Open University System. PUP currently offers 7 undergraduate programs through this route.
🔎
Pain point to watch out for
ETEEAP is little-known outside professional circles. Eligibility criteria — particularly the 5-year work experience rule and the 23+ age requirement — are often unclear upfront. Information is scattered across PUP, CHED, and INE websites. Use the official PUP page as your primary source.

Do I qualify? I have 8 years of work experience — but I need to check requirements carefully.
